Lange Datograph Up & Down Singapore Launch at Bistecca.

Sincere VIP Customers and loyal Lange fans were invited to the Singapore launch of Lange Datograph Up & Down held at Bistecca Tuscan Steakhouse, one of my favourite steakhouses in Singapore.

The event was a good opportunity to view the latest follow-up to the cult iconic Datograph from A Lange & Söhne and the perfect moment to meet up with the new owner of Sincere Fine Watches.

It was Sincere who brought Lange to Asia in 1996 as the exclusive distributor and in many ways it was also Sincere who cultivated the strong appreciation for Lange timepieces in our region. Significantly, Singapore was also the first country in the world to have enjoyed this highest end haute horlogerie outside of Germany.

The recent ownership transition of Sincere Fine Watches has caused some uncertainties and there are speculations that this leading fine watch purveyor may lose brands like Patek Philippe and Rolex by next year. It is believed that Rolex and Patek both have unstated policy of not allowing backdoor takeover of dealerships, so the speculations are hardly surprising.

What is disturbing are the vicious rumours created and spread by ill-intentioned parties that Sincere will also lose Lange's now exclusive dealership, and the strong support expressed by Lange Uhren's International Sales Director Daniel Rogger at the event comes at an opportune time and at the same time, reassuring.
