A beautiful, sunny, Saturday afternoon in Vancouver. Just listening to my favourite all-time guitarist and one of my favourite jazz musicians, Django Reinhardt. In spite of my questionable photographic skills, thought I would do a tribute photo to Django with my Cartier Tank Solo:
Here are a few more wrist shots, recently taken by a friend of mine with his iPhone:
I suppose I should not apologize for posting so many photos. I always like to post lots of wrist shots, though. I know, myself, when I am thinking of a certain watch, that it always helps me a lot when I can see how the watch looks on the wrist.
To say that I am enjoying this watch so far would be an understatement. Although I did enjoy my Calibre for the relatively short time that I had it, I always felt that there were a few important features that made me feel compromised. Not so, with the Tank Solo. When you consider the fact that the Calibre carries the newest inhouse Cartier automatic movement, and that it is the very first Cartier supposedly made specifically for men, this is quite a testament to the Tank Solo. Bearing in mind also, that the Tank Solo has a quartz movement. That is what really made me hestitate for quite a while before I got it. Now it does not bother me in the least. Matter of fact, I do admire so many of the vintage and new Cartier Tank watches, with mechanical movements, but they do not cause me to think any less of the Tank Solo.
I find this watch to be the perfect size as well, not finding it too small.
Definitely a timepiece to have fun with and to be enjoyed in all occasions.
Cheers,
Carl
