I thought it was tongue in cheek but it worked for a launch. The strap also looks like a rubber material. Not leather. But it got us all looking and talking about it, so it is good publicity. Amazing that Cartier launches this Tank in the year of the London Olympic, AND the Queen's Diamond Jubilee (60 years)! It is no coincidence. Everything was planned years ago! Well done. I always maintain that I prefer the Anglaise on an alligator strap, and I can't wait to try one on my wrist.
