Created by Cartier in 2006, the Cartier International Dubai Polo Challenge, held in the verdant setting of the Desert Palm in the heart of Dubai, brings together the best international polo players for a tournament that has gained undeniable recognition as a sporting event since its creation over five years ago.

For over 25 years, Cartier has been an enthusiastic supporter of this sport of princes, which draws players from all over the world (Argentina, Chile, the United Arab Emirates, Great Britain), celebrities as well as unknown players, all sharing a passion for this sport that is a true test of character.

Under the patronage of HRH the Princess Haya Bint Al Hussein, wife of HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the government of the United Arab Emirates in Dubai, this event was attended by Charlotte Casiraghi, an equestrian and show jumping champion in her own right. It was by invitation from Bernard Fornas, President and CEO of Cartier International, that she was the guest of honor of this exceptional demonstration of equestrian skill, which is a reflection of a lifestyle for which Cartier remains the precursor.

In a thrilling match the Cartier team narrowly defeated the current holders of the impressive trophy, Desert Palm, 10-9 and thus, for the first time, the Cartier team was the proud winners of their own Cartier International Dubai Polo Challenge.
