I could live without the revival of the Diabolo. I just never warmed up to its design. The lugs and crown always bothered me on this piece. But luckily they make enough differnet designs to appeal to a wide variety of tastes.
My wish list for Cartier to make come true would be the following...
A slightly larger Santos Galbee XL, but not as large as a Santos 100, but also with a Piaget or F.Piguet movement...something just a little more special than the usual ETA movement currently housed in the Galbee XL. Also, to keep weight down, how about the case and bracelet in Titanium with the screws and bezel in SS or pink gold.
I'd love to see a Santos Dumont in Titanium, so that it would look good with a sport jacket, but it would be equally at home when paired with jeans. It might be nice if they gave us the option of a black or white dial with a titanium model.
And, rather than a Tank XL in brushed platinum, I'd love to see a Tank XL, in steel with a steel Figaro bracelet maybe in brushed finish. Then I could wear my pink Tank XL on evenings out or with a suite, but I could wear my ruggest brushed SS Tank XL on a bracelet with a leather jacket and jeans.
I would also love to see a decent selection of pink gold cufflinks from Cartier. I already have their tri-color knots, and tri-color studs & bars, but sometimes it would be nice if I had an all pink gold set of Cartier links to wear with my pink Tank XL. It astonishes me that Cartier offers or has offered so many pink gold watches over the last few years but nothing in solid pink to pair them with.
