Hi Martin,
I haven't heard of this movement. I assume the LC Tank is a CPCP model?
You are right about the quality of the Cartier bracelets. I am very glad I got the bracelet on my Calibre, it really is a work of art! With each link having four very small screws, two on each side instead of two on the one side. I really think it adds to the aesthetics of the bracelet in a very pleasing way, with screws all the way along the bracelet on both sides. And the final link, which joins on to the end link, with it's tapered edges to match up with the lugs. Not to mention the wonderful hidden clasp. Nobody does the brushed surfaces as well as Cartier.
I'm really looking forward to seeing the Tank Solo today, and taking a real close look at it, and trying it with the bracelet. Actually, I had in my mind that I would buy one today, and eventually sell my two Rolexes. The Explorer and Air-King are two of my favourite models, but I find the aesthetics lacking the interest, fun and whimsy of the Cartiers.
But I think I will wait until we see what the new models bring in 2012. After all, this Tank Solo has been out since 2004.
Every time I look at my Cartier, I see and appreciate someting new in the detail. I am becoming more passionate about the Cartier timepieces as time goes by!
Cheers,
Carl
