Part 2: - 150 Guests at the 1942 seats Esplande Theatre?
September 17, 2009 11:25AM
To the 150 guests, it was kind of odd to be invited to the Esplanade Theatre with 1942 capacity. Yes, the famous local Jeremy Monteiro Jazz band was performing, but why Esplanade Theatre?

Opening the curtain behind the stage, the most elegant dining room with 15 tables was revealed. A good surprise.

Breathtaking ambience.

And the most appetising view of the Esplande Theatre from the dining table.

Re: Part 5: - Ronan Keating Sings!

When Ronan Keating volunteered to sing, the excitement went up another notch. I was not a fan until I heard him sing live (what a voice)!

Now, can anyone guess what was on Ronan's wrist?

Nice Report Jaw. I think Ronan is wearing a Da Vinci and it looks like a perpetual calender, but I am not sure.
avatar FANTASTIC REPORT! For a dinner that deserves all the highest accolades...

Great comprehensive report Jaw!
I absolutely enjoyed it and took a long time to look at all the photos and text. I am a fan of IWC but as you, not a fan of Ronan Keating nor one for celebrity marketing of watches.

Nevertheless, the IWC team has done it again. They raised the bar to an even higher level of sophistication in organising memorable launch events. Each time I say that they will be hard pressed to out do themselves, they are able to raise the bar even higher. The evening was beyond anyone's expectation - where the meal was literally to be had on stage of the grand Esplanade Hall with very fine cuisine and live entertainment by Jeremy Monteiro and his Jazz band as well as an impromptu performance by Ronan.

It may have been the hall acoustics to aid him but Ronan made a lot of fans that night. He sang just a couple of songs - you would almost say he sang for his dinner! But he made the night memorable by singing his more familiar pieces.

It was a wonderful evening with old friends and collectors and an ambience of fine dining outdoors with the very high ceiling. Yet, the very subtle and beautiful table and wall decorations brought to bear the evening's celebration of the opening of a new boutique.

Once again, congratulations to Goris, Connie, Vivian, Mike and the rest of the IWC Crew on the success of the occasion and the new ION Boutique.

It was a fabulous evening that I will personally remember for a very long time.

Now.... dare I say it? I wonder... if you are able to top this - ever?
But I know better than to say never!!!

Cheers

Congrats to IWC, the opening of the ION Boutique and hosting such a wonderful Gala event.

Once again, I full agree with Harry that the IWC team has outdone themselves again. What a venue and what a night! Great company, great atmosphere and a very nice performance by Ronan Keating. The acoustics was nice and I thoroughly enjoyed the 2 songs he performed.

Many thanks to Connie, Vivian, Jessie, Mike and IWC for a wonderful night. And also to welcome Goris Verburg too...
