1. Teck Meng who has one as well arrived after Jim Seah left. 2. Dr Wong Ju Ming and 3. Prof Wong Yew Wah also owns the watch as well but both was not able to be with us that evening.
So that makes 9 MIH watches we know of in the WIS(S'pore) community.
BTW Keep a look out for an honest long term use/ownership review of the MIH by the WIS community here.
How nice, such a meeting with owners of the exact same watch And i need to say i think the MIH is a very nice watch! Enjoy your MIH's guys and thanx for sharing!

Yes, I did. Coincidentally, the darker titanium belonged to those who wore the watch intermittently. Those who wear their regularly appears to have a lighter tone titanium. The metal has different tones according to weather and what it absorbs from the user. Its suppose to be an inert metal which is why its used as medical screws and other inplants for the human body. But they have to be finished extremely carefully to the smoothest surfaces so as not to allow blood clotting surfaces.
So - in short, there will always be differences in the tone of the metal over time. :-)
I missed out Tim Tan as well. From my recollection - Tim Tan and Jim Seah were probably the first owners of MIH in Singapore. I was infected by the MIH Virus through them!!!

Indeed Frank. I think its an interesting gathering not because its just the same watch we own but its significance.
Its a watch that MIH produces in very small numbers each year, available only from one source in Switzerland (hence not acquired through resellers here) and these owners here are all first owners and not bought from the secondary market.
Also, MIH represents for many if not all, all the virtues of good old fashioned horology. Designed and engineered by highly respected watchmaker and designer made and marketted for the financing of the musuem. A watch with the most simplest of dial yet with a complication that is completely new and designed in-house.
Its not a watch without flaws but it has bags of character. At a price point where it could not be beat - a watch I would readily recommend to any starting collector.
may have to strap one on n see if it works.. all this time i couldnt get its looks but it could just be a strap change that could make it another on the list aaarrrggghhh..now i hv to try n sell a watch
