19 Men, Food and Watches...
August 07, 2012 07:31AM

19 men got together and had a boys night out.

There was one particularly mysterious man - face covered. Shy about his collection smiling bouncing smiley

The food was scrumptious - featuring the lamb shank. Oxtail stew and pan-fried sea bass not pictured.

And what is dinner without dessert... so good I forgot to ask what they call it. Let's call it Dessert of the Day!

Then a glimpse of some watches on display... the really nice ones thumbs up

And the really affordable ones... smoking smiley

Wait, wait!
More as promised...

So we had a GTG to celebrate Singapore's 47th Birthday in advance of course. The theme was Classic on one hand and "exotic" on the other. Of course, it is up to you to define what exotic was and believe me, we had some nice "exotic" watches!

First, some of those who turned up...

Some of the folks in the GTG

The usual crowd around the table for the table shots.

The first table shot with the whisky in the background - The Glenrothes 1995 Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisy.

Then to some serious stuff - The Exotic - the Freak, Urwerk 110, Blu Tourbillion, Cartier Santos Skeleton, Corum Golden Bridge just to name a few.

Then the "Classic" two/three handed ones...

Amongst the "Classic" were some nice gems like the JLC Reverso, Laurent Ferrier Micro Rotor, Vianney Halter's Classic, IWC Calibre 89, FP Journe's CS (blue dial), Chopard XP, Daniel Roth, Nomos Tangente Taiwan LE, 2 Langes (1815 and Richard Lange)

And one very unique JLC Alarm pocket watch

A closer look of the JLC pocket watch

Comparing the cufflink and the back of the Laurent Ferrier's micro rotor

The Laurent Ferrier - what a beauty!

Some of the watches on display...

Harry exchanging photography tips with Massi and Peter looking on smileys with beer

The new watch in the house - one week old the W&F 101.1 with white enamel dial.

The mood was vibrant and here you can see why... Peter doing the Lightning Bolt!

Unfortunately, we were so pre-occupied with the food and the conversations we took very few table shots and also shots of the watches. So sorry this is what we have for the time being.

What an awesome GTG Gentlemen! What I love is the wide variety of watches that where there. No brand seemed to dominate, just good taste!
