Following the huge success of the Pan Europ launched last year, Hamilton create the
Hamilton Khaki Navy Pioneer to celebrate their 120th Anniversary. It is a finely finish marine chronometer that can double as a wristwatch by simply assembling it to a watch case holder. This limited edition of 1892 pieces will be available in the third quarter of this year. Below are some pics of this magnificent piece.

Lovely wooden box that comes with the watch.

Locked in position

Unlocked

A table clock

The watch and the case holder

A very fine finished movement for the price.

A highly polished case back. I would say it matches very well with the watch and the highly finished gimbal mechanism.

A sixties classic reissue

A slim case

Ventura…This is a lady’s model. The original was an electric watch introduced in 1957

The Aviation Pilot Chronograph is another stunning piece.

Hi Zach,

Great pictures of these new Hamilton's! I've always considered Hamilton a brand to look out for because it still amazes me what a great and fun watches they can make for quite reasonable prices. The re-issue of the Intra-matic is also a beauty. Will it also have a micro-rotor movement (which would surprise me since I don't believe the Swatch-group has one in their line up) just like the original one?

It's a ETA 2892 so I don't think there is any micro rotor inside smiling smiley

Hi Zach
the Pioneer is really a nice piece, that can be used as a table clock and then can be put on the wrist in a blink of an eye. The small lugs make it very wearable despite its big size. Do you know if the strap can be replaced?

I also like the intra-matic with its doomed sapphire glass and sixties look. Very nice indeed.

Thanks for the photos.

Very nicely done. Very creative too. The wooden box and the way the display as a clock is amazing. And can wear it as a watch as well...very innovative.
Look forward to its launch in Singapore.

Cheers!

A 2892 with micro-rotor might be a blockbuster-movement for the Swatchgroup. But a regular 2892 is also nice since I first suspected they went for the 2824 as they usually do. Nothing wrong with, since I have seen the 2824 outperform the 2892 many times.
