Sinn: The Best Watches from Basel You're Probably Not Thinking About . . .

Hi all,

Just wanted to share some live shots of some of the new pieces from Sinn --a small German company resolutely devoted to the idea that money should be spent on watches, not marketing. The upshot is that one doesn't hear of them as often as one should but insiders and Sinn fans know that there are few companies that make more technically advanced tool watches --and the fact that they are imbued with a tough yet stylish retro-cool vibe just makes them even easier to love. Here are some of my favorites:

EZM10 --with central minutes counter for the chrono; no more Lemania movement; uses an ETA base caliber with module by SINN for the center minutes

SZ01 --central minutes counter as well. LOVE. Fantastic slightly vintage design. My current favorite. Previewed by SINN this year but not available until 2013, sadly. Something to look forward to though smiling smiley

U212 Dive watch. A dive watch. For diving. Period. Bright, clear, legible, built like the proverbial tank.

SINN watches are available to purchase online through a variety of retailers internationally (another strategy for keeping costs for these watches affordable.) Go to www.sinn.de for authorized sales partners. You'll be glad you did ;-)

Jack

...has never been my most favorite brand to be honest but I always had a weakness for the divers. U1 is still one of my favourites and this new U version is doing a good job either!

thanks for sharing Jack!

Ciao Jack,
thanks for sharing.
I've always had a soft spot for Sinn's (especially divers), but unfortunately i do not own one (yet).

Beautiful, i think that the SZ01 is more my type of watch, the EZM is toooo massive.
The SZ01 configuration reminds me the Val 7765, without the central minute hand....What is beating inside this Sinn ?

Bye from Milano,

I love Sinn as well...

The SZ01 seems to be using the same case design as the discon SIN142. Personally I prefer the SIN142 for its more balanced look, as well as the lemania movt.smiling smiley
The U212 looks great...though similar to the U1 with black bezel. Is the U212 44mm as well? 47mm would be great! smiling smiley

Cheers!
