Strap Choices RM002

Here we are in the new forum then, splendid. Posts a bit thin on the ground so far. Anyway thought Id post up & see how the response goes.
I have an RM002 which has the original band on it ( Kevlar is it? ), shiny on the outside & leather on the inside. I would like to treat myself to a new strap, ideally the rubber one, as I like those & indeed have them on other RM watches, but I believe that these are not available for the 002 yet.
So first question is what sort of choices do I have?...anyone else got a new RM002 strap care to share any pics of them?and next question is do the RM boutiques stock a good selection or do I need to order in advance?, I ask as I am going out to Dubai in a couple of months and would pop into the RM boutique there, but dont want to leave it to chance to find out they dont stock any RM straps for the 002's etc
Pictures, opinions, suggestions all gratefully received TIA

Hi Chris,
There are indeed a lot of choices, and for that reason a bit complicated because the offerings change often.
The usual brown or black crocodile is always good...But even this choic depends on your clothes and when you wear the watch normally. The rubber should be coming very soon, but here again, it depends on the time of year and place I think.
What metal is your RM 002 and when and where do you normally wear it?

I might hang fire on the rubber strap. Only problem with that is that when I looked back through the old forum you posted back in early 2007 that the rubber straps where iminent for the 002/3 etc,so when you say very soon, it doesnt fill me with too much confidence!..unless of course you have a new update and top secret info etc to enlighten me with!...so possibly I better have something in the meantime to tide me over.
Watch is Titanium, thinking possibly just a plain black leather band will do the trick, but I really think Ive got to see the straps or pics of them to make a choice. I wear the watch usually most weekends, at work I wear a Panerai, as watches tend to get bashed on desks etc, and obviously I dont want that to happen to my RM's...I dont molly coodle them though,the 2 has been bought to wear, indeed I intend to wear it for the full 2week holiday in Dubai, swimming pool & sea included ( obviously I would use the current strap for that )cheers Theo, look forward to any pics/recommendations you have

Hello,
I have just spoken to the factory and there is nothing in rubber for the RM 002 yet.
Sorry I have nothing better to report.

Just as an aside to RM 003 owners: the rubber strap WILL fit it, since its case is the same size as the RM 010!

Was down at my AD yesterday so I went for a blue croc strap ( very dark, almost black actually ), the hint of blue works well with the blued anti reflective face on the watch. Will get some pics up soon
On another note, it seems that the RM005 straps fit the 002, as that is what I bought, an 005 strap...as you mention above the 10 fits the 003 as its the same size case, so obviously the same is true with the 002 & 005.
Can you put a post up please when the rubber straps do become available for the 2/5 then I can get onto my AD about one....hoping they will be soon, but it seems to have been going on for a while
