a very rare bird ...

The booth of Richard Mille at the Qatar watch fair last week was small, nevertheless, the watches on display were impressive.

Unfortunately, the distributor of Richard Mille in Qatar did not allow photographs and I was stopped exercising one of my favorite hobbies after shooting the first watch. So, you won't see pictures of the RM 25 that was there or the RM pocket watch or several other very interesting watches.

What I can show is the limited (10 pieces) edition of the ali bin ali RM11 Felipe Massa. It is seen next to another version.
What the picture only shows very partially is that not only the numbers on the dial appear blue, but there is some sort of blue glow to the dial when watched at a certain angle. I could not quite figure out how this is achieved but the effect is subtle and interesting.

The quality of the picture is not to my liking but this is just before the security person started to be irritated.

ciao Time2tic,

Sorry to hear that you were stopped while taking pix of RM watches. Not a smart marketing move indeed i'd say.
Anyway the "blued version" is really amazinggrinning smiley.

I was quite sad, you can imagine especially because I spend quite some time on a very modest booth looking at incredible Urwerk watches with Mister Felix himself, and still could not take a picture. sad smiley
anyway, one has to respect the rules, and questioning the rule is only generating frustrations in that particular case...

Sorry they stopped you from taking more.

Could the blueish tint be from the anti-reflective coating? I know my RM010 turns blue when the light hits it just right smiling smiley

...my RM005 does the same thing at certain angles. It's the anti-reflective coating - on the glass dial, I believe.
