Hello all,
Here a couple of quick shots of the new factory going up.
It is getting busier in the village of Les Breuleux where RM is located - the dark building in the second photo in the distance is actually
another case making factory that Richemont group are setting up just a stone's throw from RM. The companies will be sharing the parking area together. ;-0)
Ciao tutti,
Theo

Hi Theo,

Thanks for this update. Great to see the building becoming more and more a reality. I am surprised about the size though....this will only houses RM's case making facility? It looks so large, even considering that case making asks usually for larger machines.

Hi Martin,

With an investment of this size, you need lots of space for machines, as well as growth potential for the next decade.
It is not however a premonition of 'super-sizing' so no fears there. The increase in production is about 100-200 units a year, so it does require some room for growth in the next decade.

In addition, some of the machines will be able to do more than just cases, such as special kinds of engraving or some (not all!) movement bridges and such.

The greatest advantage for Richard is that is gives RM even more flexibility. A new case design can now be realised more quickly without lost time; new ideas can be prototyped for feasibility easily and this will enrich the company's ability to tap into its creative impulses swiftly and give RM an even more competitive edge.

It is really great to see RM going through such amazing developments! I guess this truly shows that having a highly original product, and spare no expense on executing them on the highest possible level while innovating constantly can be key ingredients for success! Cannot wait to see what is next to come!
