My new acquisition...the nicest watch by Panerai?
March 11, 2012 09:11AM
Many collectors consider this watch as the nicest watch ever produced by Panerai todate, and closest to its vintage root. And yet it is on the regular production, which means all collectors should be able to get one..smiling smiley

Yes, I am referring to the PAM372. Was very fortunate to get a call from the boutique that my PAM372 has arrived....finally.smiling smiley
Each time I see other collectors posting beautiful pics of their PAM372, it makes the wait harder...winking smiley

Here are some pics :

PAM372 with its original dark Tan vintage strap :

IMO, Panerai has done a great job with the straps that comes with 372. These straps are thick (abt 4mm), and the edges are raw, which is what collectors have been asking. These straps are really nice (though I would prefer the dark Tan strap to be less glossy). Unfortunately, I have set my mind on a strap that I love so much.....more than any other straps in my collection. Thus need to do the standard ops..smiling smiley

PAM372 with the spare OEM light Tan strap. What do you think?

PAM372 with my favorite strap :

Some wrist shots :

Close-up. Sorry, can't capture the nice deep engravement of 'Panerai Luminor' :

Back case of the P.3000 movt, which has an independent adjustable hour-hand that makes the changing of time much easier :

Having handled and worn the PAM372 for awhile, I must admit that the PAM372 is a really nicely done watch that makes me feel like I am wearing the vintage 6152 (which I can't afford one). The feeling is very different from my Fiddy (PAM127). Looks like my Fiddy will be neglected for awhile...winking smiley

Ciao Chua,
and congratulations for this new beautiful piece...We need more pix !!!

Actually i love the PAM straps, but i have to admit that your favourite strap matches well the watch, in the sense that it gives a touch of real vintage to it...Maybe because of the clear color, which makes me think that the strap has been worn many many years....

Wear it in good health,
ciao from Milano !!!

The Bruono matches the 372 nicely giving it a more 'vintage' look.

Wear it in the best of health.

there will be more pics to come..smiling smiley
The strap that I used in the PAM372 (as well as my Fiddy) is the original Bruno strap. Its abt 5mm thick and the texture is really vintage looking, making it like it has been worn for many years..
Thanks slide68.

Just pm me , and may be in time for my new hunt :-)
I have seen the watch in real life
March 31, 2012 01:35AM
and find it one of the best PAM's ever; I am glad it's a bit too large for my wrist. Ha, ha.
Congrats and have a good time with this new babe.
Pedro
You will get used to the size smiling smiley
March 31, 2012 07:59AM
I started with 40mm Panerai watches in 1999 as I find the 44mm too big for me then. Now I have no more 40mm Panerai watches as I find them too small.
So I am sure you will get use to the size...winking smiley
Thanks Pedro. HAGWE.
