Yesterday a Patek Philippe Ref. 3939, manually wound Minute Repeater with Tourbillon changed hands at Only Watch Auction held in Monaco.

Wish Price was set at EUR 450,000 - 650,000.

This did not stop the bidders to climb to an amazing EUR 1,400,000 grinning smiley cool smiley -cool smiley for the piece.

Patek remains a bankable blue chip. I would have loved to be in the room. Did anybody follow this online ?

And this keeps itching my brains Bruno: Did you move in a van ?

Well, my house is not 100% mine yet ... a big part is still from the bank (mortgage)
Then, there still is my GF who owns half of the house

And forgetting these 2 facts ....my house costs less than 1/4 th of this 3939. LOL

Alberto, did you buy it ? ;-)

You guys found me out... yes, I did buy it. Now I have to kill someone to pay for it... winking smiley

Seriously, this watch chimes like a dream, and I really like it with the black dial. My only gripe with it, were I to ever be able to actually afford one, is that it is a liiiittle too small for my wrists. But I would certainly not say no if someone were to give it to me!

You can listen to it, and see more pictures of a white-dialled one, here: [revo-online.com]

My friend has since ordered a black dial version as well, so this one would not feel lonely. It's a ying/yang thing, you know... winking smiley
