Having a talk with friends we wondered about the estimated annual production number of Patek pieces. Does anyone have an idea of this?

There are no official numbers

if I'm not mistaken.

Worldtempus states 40'000 pieces a year in an article released in 2008.

Who knows more ?

I have heard that number as well, Mark, but always coupled with the qualifier that half of those are quartz and lady watches.

..but I believe that during the crisis they had scaled down a bit. Could be back to that now, though.

during the financial crisis they indeed lowered their production but because of the huge demand in Asia thing go better now

they sold between 5 and 10% extra during the first 7 months of this year
