I need your help, I am more into the AP world but I could not resist the temptation with the new tribute to Polaris '68, does anybody know what the MSRP is? What do you guys think about the watch, IMHO it looks fantastic, I also like the new master compressor diving Geographic, which one would be a better option?

In the U.S., the retail price was $14,500 at the time of introduction (April 2008). Check with your AD for any probable price increases since then.

the 2 watches are sporty watches that I would call opposite.

Polaris is a re-edition of a model of 1965 (or 68, depending) of a very innovative watch in its time. The calibre of the re-edition benefits from all the craftmanship of JLC and the look and feel is just like the vintage, IMHO.
I love it ( horomundians are tired to read me saying it in every polaris thread, I am sure).

the master diving geo is a very modern asymetrical yet very well balanced design. If I had to choose between the two, I would go for the polaris re-edition, no doubt. I am not a huge fan of the special keys locking the pushers on the master compressor serie, even if I like the technical wonder behind it.

Kronos, after strapping on a JLC tribute to Polaris not later as last week-end, I would definitively go for one if you can get one, even though I am not a great fan of re-editions.

When they were issued, it did not take long before they all were sold out. This could have changed lately or perhaps you will see some appear on the 2nd hand market.
