in the wirtual world, all complications work perfectly, the light travels flawlessly on decorated calibre shinnier than a mirror.

in the real world, some show half working prototypes to attract interest, but displayed under a glass bell.

Some do however come with working prototypes. I recently got the chance to see such prototype in motion, and motion is really the important word in this case.

have a look at this short spherotourbillon video. This tourbillon does spin fast and keeps excellent timing. about 1/2s per day, I have been told! that is a mere 2 1/2 minutes per year !!!

well done JLC.

(thank you Mr J.)

I would have thought that the spherotourbillon was like a limited gyro tourbillon and the motion would not be as impressive as the gyros.
in reality, it is not a lower gyrotourbillon, by any means. I think the rapid revolution of the cage gives a very special attractive effect.

it is hard to look at a "regular" tourbillon after spending just a few minutes looking at this one.

No way it is "limited"...

It is designed for a thinner case without compromising any of the technical competency of Gyro.

It has been repeatedly tested live for almost a year now and when the lab results are in, everyone who thinks it is "limited" will realise that this is in fact another big breakthrough.

In a word, amazing!
