Hublot supports the Manchester United Legends Tour in Asia

Visiting Bangkok on the 6th April 2011, Kuala Lumpur on the 8th April and Hong Kong on the 9th April, a memorable tour by the Manchester United legends has just taken place in Asia, supported by Hublot.

At each stop, the Manchester United legends attended a charity dinner in support of the Asia-wide “UNICEF Legends Charity Dinner”, organised by UNICEF and the Manchester United Foundation. All the funds raised have been channelled into UNICEF projects protecting at-risk young populations, including children, from the threat of HIV and AIDS.

To mark this occasion, Hublot designed and created three unique watches with the exclusive Red Devil emblem on the dial and an engraving on the back detailing each date and location (Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur & Hong Kong). These three watches were each put up for auction during the 3 dinners to raise funds for UNICEF and the Manchester United Foundation.

The relationship between Manchester United and Hublot began in 2008 when Hublot became the “Official Timekeeper” and “Official watch” of the club. To celebrate this partnership, Hublot designed the Red Devil Bang. Since then, they have worked closely together throughout the world to raise awareness of the Manchester United Foundation which aims to educate, motivate and inspire young people to build a better life for themselves and their communities.

Glorious evening at the Hublot Hong Kong Boutique with Manchester United Legends Bryan Robson and Andrew Cole
On the 9th April in Hong Kong, a private party was held at the Hublot boutique with two of the greatest names in English football, Manchester United Legends Bryan Robson and Andrew Cole. The exclusive cocktail party was attended by around 50 VIP guests invited by Hublot and members of the Manchester United Hong Kong Fan Club.

During the cocktail party, the two players shared their views on the topic of “love” and, of course, their love of football and Manchester United. They also shared their personal experience of Hublot with guests – the brand itself, the watches, and Hublot’s philosophy of “sharing the love” in support of charity. The legends also signed a tailor-made Manchester United jersey emblazoned with “Hublot” and the number “8” on the back. The memorabilia is on display at the Hublot boutique. The evening ended gloriously with members of the Manchester United Hong Kong Fan Club singing the chant “We’re the Busby Boys”, followed later on with “We love United” with the lyrics changed to “We love Hublot, we do!”.

Manchester United Legends Bryan Robson and Andrew Cole were in Hong Kong for the Asia-wide “UNICEF Legends Charity Dinner”, organised by UNICEF and the Manchester United Foundation. All the funds raised are channelled into UNICEF projects protecting Malaysia’s most at-risk young population, including children, from the threat of HIV and AIDS. The gala dinner in Hong Kong was held at the Four Seasons Hotel after the exclusive cocktail party at the Hublot boutique. The event featured a live auction, with Hublot donating a unique piece which, after competitive bidding, sold for HK$105,000.
