Hublot Celebrates Chinese Badminton Team’s Games Victory





Beijing, August 18, 2012 – Hublot, symbolized by the “Art of Fusion”, held a celebration today for the Chinese Badminton Team and their recent gold medal win in London. In honor of the winning team – long regarded as the “Dream Team”, and since sweeping all the gold medals during this year’s games, has now been dubbed the “Team of Champions” – Hublot presented its most representative collection for the national heroes, including Mr. Li Yongbo, the head coach of China National Badminton team; “Super Dan” (Lin Dan), the first player to successfully defend his last games badminton title (winning gold in 2008); Li Xuerui, gold medalist in women’s singles; “Fengyun Group” (Cai Yun and Fu Haifeng), gold medlists in men’s doubles; Tian Qing and Zhao Yunlei, gold medalists in women’s doubles; and Zhang Nan, winner in mixed doubles. For this special event, Hublot Chairman Jean-Claude Biver also recorded a video and wrote a greeting card himself to congratulate this unparalleled team.





It was an unprecedented record for the China Badminton Team to win all five gold medals for badminton in London. The 2012 games will forever remember the brilliant performances of this team for its victories since the World Badminton Championships 2010. The team has consistently shown its fearlessness by overriding any and all obstacles with superior abilities and outstanding achievements.





Looking back at the finals in Wembley Arena, there was a tremendous sense of passion and excitement from the athletes and the audience.
