Lot 69 at the Christie's auction in Geneva today was a beautiful white gold Invention Piece 1 from 2007.

The estimate was $225,184 - $315,257; the fact that the watch sold for $327,000 (with buyers' premium) is an indication of the strong demand for Greubel Forsey's very exclusive timepieces.

Invention Piece 1 is one of my all-time favourites

For more information: Greubel Forsey. An extremely fine and rare 18K white gold limited edition 3-day double tourbillon wristwatch with power reserve

and my favorite for the mix between highly complicated calibre and ingenious readability of the dial.

Beautiful and readable, a mix not always easy to reach especially in such complicated timepieces....

Happy to see that G&F is gaining visibility on auctions......Only complain is that i will probably never own one....sad smiley
