Hi Ferdinand,
it's a real coincidence but I visited a Dutch watchmaker today. One of my colleagues owns a very old Girard Perregaux and he asked me if I knew someone to give it a good service. So I visited the watchmaker and he noticed my PanoReserve.
He checked the watch out and here are the, very impressive, numbers!
an average amplitude of 300
0,0 beat errors (!!!)
and it was tested in three positions...
with the dial up it was - 1 second a day
with the dial on the side and the crown down it was - 1 second a day
and with the dial on the downside it was perfect, 0,0 seconds a day
the watchmaker was very impressed, this was very, very rare. I won't tell you which watch he was wearing but it was a 70K watch from a high respected Swiss brand...he showed me the numbers and that was +9 seconds a day.
the power reserve has an average of 45 hours, so that´s not bad at all.
the readability is great. First I had some doubts about the black hands, I preferred blued hands but the black hands are great. It depends on the light but one moment they are silver coloured and from another hook they are black and all between these two...
The crown is a bit bigger than on the most watches, it is great to wind the watch and your fingers don't touch the case while winding. I know, maybe exaggerated but you don't get the little hairlines on the case from winding the watch.
With a little bit more than 39 mm the watch looks great. I was in love with this watch when I saw it on the internet and in the cataloque but in the flesh it´s the best you can get for the bucks. IMVHO off course...
hope you like it Ferdinand!
thanks and cheers, Wim
