Quantieme Perpetuel
September 20, 2011 06:03AM
Hello,

First of all I'm introducing myself. I usually read and post (sometimes) in the PP forum. But this time I'm here about my latest buy. I just got for myself a Royal Oak Quantieme Perpetuel, stainless steel, in excelent condition, I'm very happy about it! The thing is I do not know how to set the years and the moon phase...IN FACT, HOW TO SET THE COMPLETE FUNCTIONS CORRECTLY.
Let's say, in the annual calendar I own (patek philippe), in order to set the watch the hour must be set in 2.00 AM, so the date function is disengaged, therefore there is no risk of trouble...
Could someone please indicate how this works por AP? Again, It is a Royal Oak Quantieme Perpetul Automatic.

Thanks,

Leandro

Hi Leandro, and welcome to the AP forum (and congratulations on the new piece!)

You can find a pdf of the owner's manual for the calibre 2120/2802 at www.audemarspiguet.com, click on "customer service" and you'll see a list of watch manuals on the left. Yours is (IIRC) the 2120/2802, you can download the full pdf.

Basically you use the correctors but you have to move the hands to make the date indicator jump a day and then advance the hands to twelve noon first.

Incidentally I would strongly recommend a service for the watch prior to wearing it if it's been a few years --the calibre 2120 is a wonderful movement but needs to be serviced by someone who understands it, and all the more so for a perpetual calendar.

Cheers,

Jack

Thanks Jack,

Following your instructions I've set the watch, but still can't find on the website the right link...under watch manuals-current models-caliber 2120/2121 (it doesn't give me a 2120/2810). So, under the 2120/2121 the manual is not for a perpetual calendar...eye rolling smiley
It's the 2nd one down from the top. . .
