Can anyone tell me more about this model?

Guys, I saw in one of the fashion magazines a picture of a Cartier Tank that I have never seen before. If it's fake, then please delete my post.

It's a reversible, with (I guess) Paris on the dial, like the Privée collection and arabics??? The word paris is at a different place.
Does anyone know what this is exactly and when it was on the market? Sorry that the scan I made is very grainy.
I am just curious, thanks, Pedro

Sorry it took me a bit to find you an answer but I am afraid that I do not know what you really wanted to know.

There were a couple of different Tank Basculante models during the 150th. anniversary in 1997/1998.
The one in your post is absolute no fake watch and is definitely a model created for the 150th. anniversary,
but I honestly do not know how many were produced and I have even never seen this model.

These Arabics on the dial are really nice and só different for a Tank Basculante.
The ones that I know and have seen are:

a 150th. version in yellow gold version / closed back 150 pieces / Paris above 6
a 150th. version in yellow gold version / closed back with round full cut diamonds 150 pieces / Paris above 6
a 150th. version in yellow gold version / transparent case back 15 pieces / Paris above 6
a 150th. version in yellow gold version / transparent case back / skeleton movement 15 pieces

All have the 150th anniversary motif and a caliber 061MC by Frédéric Piguet.

About a year later there was an unlimited CPCP version with Paris underneath Cartier (so not above 6)
with the same mechanical movement and a transparent case back a blue sapphire and no red rubi,
like the one in your picture.
So sorry I do not have an exact answer to your question, if i find out more, I will post it.

Thank you for the link to the Tank post, I had seen it and read it twice. I know the Basculante since I have a friend who has a steel version.
But I do not know this model with this dial and try to find out more about it. It must be real otherwise my post would have been deleted I think. Ha, ha!

1932 is the year the tank basculante came out if my meory serves me right, which is one year after the reverso came out.
It is likely that both deisngns were created to protect the (at that time) fragile glass of the watch from shocks when doing an activity a bit more sporty than drinking afternoon tea :-)

Hi Pedro,

Geo did an excellent history presentation of the Tank a few weeks ago. Called "CARTIERS's TANK; born from war, built for peace"

Here's the link:

[revo-online.com]

It was sort of Cartier's versio of the JLC Reverso. If you scroll down from the beginning of the article quite a way, you will find it with photos.

Cheers,
