Default Full version of 201 preview video

The next post I make here will, all going well, include photos of the 201 'in the wild' (at the launch tonight) as well as detailed information about the watch.

To keep you going until then here is the full version of the preview video I posted earlier.

Again the streaming (sometimes) starts too soon so pause the video when it begins to allow 50% of it to upload.

If you post comments on the video (and please do) would you let me know if you prefer .wmv (PC) or Quicktime files.

Video: PC (32MB)

Video: Mac/QuickTime (21MB)

If anyone is curious about how I did this video, it is a single image manipulated with video editing software. The panning technique is called the Ken Burns effect (a feature of most video editing programs) and while I had seen it before, it was Harry Tan's effective use of the technique in his video montages at his Blog Watching Horologythat inspired me to have a try. Thank you Harry.

Regards,

Ian

Hi Ian
Thanks for sharing how the video was being done.

Yep, I preferred QuickTime... smaller file, faster to load, sounds better too.
